A missioning ceremony was held to send forth Sr. Scholastica to undertake a new assignment in Le Mans, France. The service opened with the hymn “Here I Am, Lord,” setting a tone of willing response to God’s call and echoing the missionary’s own step into unfamiliar territory.
The prayer and reflection for the journey was from Isaiah 43:1–5, God’s promise of presence through fire and water — “Fear not, for I have redeemed you… I will be with you” — offering assurance for the uncertainties of a new country and culture.
And Psalm 121, the traditional pilgrim’s psalm (“I lift up my eyes to the hills… my help comes from the Lord”), reinforcing the theme of divine protection for Sr. Scholastica. The service was attended by members of various CSC communities, men and women in Ghana and Friars of the Franciscans (OFM) community, Takoradi. This was followed with photography, exchange of gifts, socialization abd lunch.
